Halloweeeeeeen!

That's how Jade said Halloween every time we walked into Target and she saw all of the Halloween stuff. So fun! The girls were both so excited about all of the festivities. Makena got to wear her Rapunzel costume a number of times and every time just couldn't get enough. Jade was of course our little energetic one and was pretty much the cutest gnome I've ever seen!! I love the holiday season and that starts with Halloween.

Legoland

We had the opportunity to go to Legoland for a very good price and had never been so we took advantage and spent a perfect day there. The weather was great and it wasn't very crowded. It is not a place really for tiny kids like Jade since she couldn't go on anything, but Makena was just tall enough to go on most of the rides. It was a great time and we'd definitely go back!!

Princess Ballet

We enrolled Makena in a 4 week princess ballet class through our city. She loved it and thought she was so cool to be doing it. They did different ballet positions and somersaults and then got a little princess related craft at the end and stamps on their hands. Probably her favorite part :) She is not the most coordinated and not the most focused, but she had fun and I would love to have her do it again. It was her first real class like this so it was interesting to see her follow directions and try her limits physically.

Wait...Did she just say Halloween?!?

Why yes I did! Halloween came and went with lots of pumpkin patch trips, parties and pumpkin carving. Makena LOVES any holiday so it makes it so much fun! This year Makena was Jessie from Toy Story and Jade was Pebbles from the Flinstones. Her little red ponytail was a must for her costume.

Jade had a Birthday!!

This catch up is mostly for myself because it's been almost a year?!? since my last real post. Life definitely speeds up once you have a second kid. So I am going to document Jade's 1st birthday first. Mainly because her second birthday is only 2 months away!! Man I have been slacking. Looking back at these it is so weird to see her so small. She is so much fun. She has SO MUCH energy all the time. She never seems to slow down. She is a happy girl and we are just so lucky she is ours!!

I am about to make a huge blog update. It's coming...wait for it...

After 5 Months...

I still need to catch up. I am always using my laptop now, but all of my pictures are on my regular computer so I will use that excuse :) Life around here is pretty chaotic lately. We've been sick on and off for the last month and it's getting pretty tiring. I pretty much spend my day like this:

This picture pretty much sums it up. Jade has got 8 teeth- including her molars- in the last 8 weeks so she always looks like this. She is needy and whiny and drools constantly. Hopefully now she will be back to a happier child. We both need it. And Makena is an independent child. She is not a very good listener these days and she thinks she is hilarious. Haha! And I am feeling crazy most days. But man I love these girls!
Makena will be FOUR next week. Don't ask me how that happened, but she is smart and so fun to be around-most of the time!

And Jade is 16 months old already! She is a climber and will do just the opposite of what we say pretty much all day long. She is at a hard age to keep up with but she is so dang cute.


Hopefully I can get some real catch up posts going, but for now, this is what you get. We are alive. We are well-relatively speaking :) And we are happy. I couldn't ask for more!
