Today was going to be a peaceful day. A day of rest and spoiling. A day to put up my feet and my husband would take care of everything. It all sounded so fabulous. Until I got woken up by my girl pulling on my eyelashes and smacking me in the head at least an hour before she should have been up. Fine, fine! I am a mom. I can handle this. Well today at church Makena decided that this was going to be the worst. She had lots of energy before we left and we couldn't keep her contained. I think she asked the lady sitting next to us for hand sanitizer at least 5 times in 5 minutes. She was too kind to be nice to our little girl. Then off to nursery, to play with all the other children, but we walk in and she screams...screams. And even though I said I would stay with her she still takes forever to calm down. Then before the next class Tyler came to relieve me and she freaked out again. Needless to say. Biggest tantrum she's ever had. EVER!! She threw herself on the floor and screamed, and cried til she gagged and then ran outside our house and was smacking her head on the wall!! It was a great mother's day treat to say the least. Since waking up from her nap she's been a lot better, but that really put a damper on my relaxing, peaceful day. Oh well, there's always next year...when we throw another child into the mix!! Because isn't that what being a mother's all about??
Who can stay mad at this face?? Priceless (her cheese face!)
