Disneyland!

I took Makena to Disneyland on St. Patrick's Day. We met my brother and his son Logan there. Since Makena is free I got a season pass and I am so excited to be able to use it. She loved it. She still talks about it every day. She loved the jungle cruise, dumbo, the carousel "horsey ride". She wasn't so sure about the pooh ride, and...it's a small world. That's really scary :)But overall, she loved it and we can't wait to go back and take Tyler with us.
On the Carousel- With her fake Cheesy smile

Holding Hands in Line for Small World-They totally did this on their own and it was SO cute!

DUMBO!!

After the Pooh ride-which she hid on the whole time :)

Thought We'd Join...

The PREGNANCY CLUB! We're excited to announce that we are having another baby! I am almost 8 weeks along and I saw the little bean this week with its strong heartbeat. I know TONS of people who are pregnant right now, so that should be fun to be part of the club, again. I have been feeling major nauseuos for a few weeks now and I can't stand it, but it's for a great little cause. And I tell myself every week that I am a week closer. We are a little scared about having a second baby, but know it's time. And Makena asks to see "the baby"- my belly-all the time and talks to it. It's too cute. She even told me the other night that it's a sister baby...so I guess we'll see. We are VERY excited and can't wait until OCTOBER to meet the little one. (That seems oh so far away!!)

Party People!!!!!!!

This last Saturday we had a family party for Makena's birthday. It was beach themed (since hopefully all of you know that Makena is a beautiful beach in Hawaii). We had great food and then we all headed to Huntington Beach to spend some time there. It was a BEAUTIFUL day. We couldn't have asked for better weather and it was just a fun time! I was WORN out from doing everything but it was a good time. We had yummy Mexican food and I made "ocean" cupcakes. Makena racked up ion the presents, and I decided that next year-Chuck E. Cheese it is :) So hear are some of the pictures from the partay!! Wish we could have invited everyone, but the little house doesn't constitute for a giant party. But we love you all!

Opening up the loot! She's a lucky girl and got some Great gifts-that are still ALL over my house!

Listening to Happy Birthday!

My cupcake creations-they looked better in person, I swear :)

Digging in like they were going out of style! She ate the whole cupcake like she was in a pie eating contest

Temple Trip

Two weeks ago we were able to go to the Redlands temple where my mother-in-law went through for the first time. It wsa a busy day at the temple, but it was great. Thanks to my mom for watching Makena all day so we could go. It was a beautiful day-I wish my wedding day there would have been so nice :) We are so happy for her and the choice to go there. It was a great day!

The Birthday Girl!!!

My beautiful little girl turned 2 today! I have no idea where the time has gone, but I know it's been fabulous-SO HARD, but SO rewarding. She is so smart and sensitive ( which can also be a bad thing). She loves learning new things and she is just the funnest little girl to be around. I have LOTS of pictures to post from her party, and all things going on, but I will do that soon as I am still trying to recover from the day :) I just want her to know that I LOVE HER SO MUCH and couldn't have picked a better girl for my daughter. She's the best. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NENNY!!!!!

Tour, Anyone??

Well-for me, this has been the longest blog break ever! My sister (who may be the only one who looks at this) kindly asked for a new post since she's looked at the last one for the last 3 weeks :) We've been really busy here lately! With the move-which like I was recently reminded-was not as stress free as I would have hoped. Even with all my planning. And just the stress of life and Makena being sick this last week...blah, blah. But we are here and we are finally getting adjusted and relieved of some of our stress. So I thought I'd take you on a little tour. Mind you my house is not really neat, I have had a sick child lately, and there may be a few boxes, but it is coming a long! So here it goes...

This is the living room (love my new chair)

This is another view of the living room through the dining room...don't pay attention to the mess and boxes, please :)

This is the kitchen

This is the master bathroom! I love the new shower curtain and yellow towels!

This is a close up of the pattern on my shower curtain!!

This is our bedroom. I hate having bare walls, but I just got the comforter (major steal at Kohl's) and haven't decided how I want to decorate everything else!

This is the material that I made the curtains out of for the kitchen and the entryway. Love it!

I wish these tulips would stay like this forever. They are so pretty! Thanks honey!!

And this is the little sickling. Today is the first day in a lot of days that she is actually playing! Hallelujah! I hate sick kids!!!

So, that's it for the moment. We've got lots going on in the next couple weeks with my mother-in-law going through the temple next weekend and then the next week is Makena's 2nd birthday! Lots to blog about! Hope everyone has been great! Thanks for still checking up on us to make sure we're still alive!!! Until next time!!

This and That!!

So much is going on in our life right now, but just thought I'd share a few things!

This girl:

Is the highlight of my life. We recently went to a playdate in Burbank and went to a park. She has been non stop talking about it since Monday!! It's pretty hilarious. She helped me bake cookies today which I will post pics soon. She wanted to eat the cookies so bad while we were making them. She is just getting SO big! I can't even believe that she'll be 2 in a little over a month. She is a sweetheart, but definitely entered the terrible twos like 6 months ago. She is VERY dramatic, but we love her!

And that chair:

Is going to look lovely in my new living room. We found a new place that we love and are actually getting the keys to this afternoon. We were truly blessed through all of this mess and finding this place and getting in so quickly is so great. BUT, that also means the next 2 weeks are basically just going to be packing and unpacking. I hate having boxes everywhere and plan on this all happening nice and quick and smooth. Wish us luck! It might get a little crazy!

TWILIGHT!!

So, I know all you other Twilight readers have seen the movie and totally forgot about it because it came out SO long ago. Well, I had almost given up hope, but today I finally got the opportunity to see it. Took me long enough! My reaction: I liked it. From everyone I heard that it would be pretty cheesy, so I went in with no high expectations. I liked it, though. I thought it stuck to the book pretty good and didn't ruin the visuals I already had in my mind. And I got to go with a group of ladies from church! It was fun! Thanks honey for watching the girl...last minute...so I could take a mommy break! It was soooo needed!

The Stress that is our Life!

So some of you know, but most don't-that we will be moving again soon. We found out recently that our landlord has skipped out on paying the rent for who knows how long. He's having a party with our rent money, I guess! Anyways, we've been told that our condo will be sold at auction the middle of next month. Which means that we are on the lookout for a new place. Yes-we just moved 7 MONTHS ago. What do you do?!?! Just pray that we can find something soon and get away from this mess! Oh the stress that life brings us. Oh well. I can pack up and find a new place and not lose my mind in a month's time. I know I can :)

The Miracle!!

THIS:

NEVER HAPPENS AT OUR HOUSE!!!

Tyler always dreamed of the day that she would just fall asleep on her own. It finally happened. This girl just NEVER calms down. So, yeah...this was a miracle!
